Buying a New Home with us
What guarantee will I get with a new home from Howbeck Homes?
All our new build homes come with a 10 year LABC Warranty.
Can I view a new build property ?
Yes, as soon as our new build homes are released for sale you can come and view them by contacting us or the agent to arrange a viewing.
How do I look after my new home?
Like all new things, your new home needs to be ‘run’. During this time, it is important to remember that your house is still drying out. As your new home dries out, it will release moisture into the air which can create condensation on cold surfaces such as windows & exterior walls.
You can reduce this by keeping the background central heating as low as possible and you may choose to open windows for a while each day to circulate fresh air around the house. During this period a few small cracks may appear in the walls and timberwork, this is quite normal and can be cured when you re-decorate.
What do I do if something goes wrong?
Howbeck Homes provides all of our new homeowners with warranty cover for two years from the date of legal completion. Years three to ten are covered by insurance protection through LABC or a similar industry regulated insurance scheme.
What is the definition of a defect?
A defect is defined as a non-compliance, or a failure to perform to the regulatory standards covering all aspects of your new home.
